The town is a bustling port and its attractions include the An Lanntair Art Gallery, Lewis Loom Centre (telling the story of the famous Harris Tweed) and the Museum nan Eilean. Be sure to try the local food speciality - the renowned Stornoway black pudding which is exported worldwide.
