REGIONAL MANAGER – NORTH (Kirkwall and Wick Airports)
Reporting to the Director Safety and Operations the successful candidate will be based in Kirkwall and be responsible for ensuring that Kirkwall and Wick airports are operated in a safe and efficient manner.
They will be responsible for regulatory compliance and act as the senior management representative for the airports. This will involve maintaining and building relationships with the local community and stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
We are seeking an individual with several years experience in a senior management role who has a proven track record of: managing budgets, leading on the completion of projects to deadlines, managing change and who possess a broad knowledge of airport infrastructure and operational issues including regulatory requirements. Significant experience of managing staff effectively is an essential requirement.
You will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check for security clearance.
CHIEF ENGINEER, Inverness Airport
Highlands & Islands Airports Ltd is an organisation based in Inverness and has airports at Barra, Benbecula, Campbeltown, Dundee, Inverness, Islay, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Sumburgh, Tiree and Wick. The Company is owned by the Scottish Government.
Resulting from the retirement of the current post holder a vacancy now exists for a Chief Engineer.
The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the supervision of a team of 23 staff over the Highlands & Islands Airports group, maintaining 30 fire appliances, a number of utility vehicles and a large variety of ancillary equipment including snowblowers, de-icers, generators, grass cutting equipment and fast rescue craft.
Preferably with experience of multi site operations, you will hold a CPC and qualifications in motor vehicle engineering. Additionally, you will have experience in managing budgets. The post involves occasional travel to the various sites and a flexible approach to maintaining equipment in what can occasionally be challenging environments. A team player with a practical approach to problem solving is a must.
SECURITY MANAGER, Inverness Airport
Last year our group of 11 airports in the Highlands and Islands and Tayside handled 1.3 million passengers. We are seeking a Security Manager who will deliver all security programmes, ensuring that our airports meet the requirements of the Department for Transport and other regulatory agencies. We currently provide aviation security services through our wholly owned subsidiary company AMSL.
Based at Inverness Airport and reporting to the Director Safety and Operations, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting the impact of all DfT, European and Civil Aviation Authority regulations, amendments, and advisory security activities. You will serve as a liaison between the HIAL group of airports and the DfT and will be responsible for cooperative security efforts among the HIAL group staff and you will be expected to travel throughout the group as necessary.
You will have proven, extensive experience in an aviation security management role with an excellent knowledge of airport security, infrastructure and operations and hold a current DfT Level 3 Security certificate of competence. Additionally, you will have experience in managing budgets.
