More than 300 Highland holidaymakers
jetted off for summer sunshine on the first ever Thomson holiday flights from Inverness
Airport today (Saturday 19 June).
Two flights, to Ibiza and Majorca, departed from the
Highland ’s hub airport today.
For the first time Thomson is operating a programme of flights and
accommodation packages from Inverness to Ibiza,
Majorca
and Lanzarote during the 2004 summer holiday season.

Manager, said: “Thomson is offering holiday charters from
Inverness for the first time this year and we hope that
with the support of local holidaymakers this will be the start of a successful
programme that will expand in the years ahead. Direct holiday flights are a
service we are often asked for and Thomson is offering a choice of destinations
and packages this year to meet this demand.”
Thomson will operate three destinations from
Inverness
in June and July this year, carrying approximately 3,000 holidaymaker to summer
sunshine destinations.
