Highlanders now have their first ever opportunity to fly direct from Inverness Airport to Venice…just for the day!

Tour operator Transun has laid on a special day trip to the famous Italian city on May 15 and it is expected to be a sell out.

Head of Sales, Trevor Davis, said the company had put on the flight in response to a perceived market demand and as part of its commitment to Inverness and the Highlands.

"We recently launched the first summer series of charter flights from Inverness to the Algarve and that is selling well so we thought a day trip would also be well received," he said.

Alex Johnson, Commercial and Marketing Manager of Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd which is partnering Transun in its Inverness operations, said:

The Inverness-Venice day break costs £179 per person and excursions are extra.
