Highland sun seekers can jet away to the fascinating and beautiful country of Croatia on the Adriatic this Autumn thanks to another boost for Inverness Airport.
Croatia specialist Transun has just announced a special charter flight from Inverness on October 4 with a lead-in price of £359 for seven nights.
Alex Johnson, Commercial and Marketing Manager of Highlands and Islands Airports Limited, said: "Transun has already carried around 800 Highland holidaymakers on six flights from Inverness Airport to sunshine resorts so far this year, with another eight holiday charters and two day breaks to go.
"This underlines the success of our partnership with Transun, both for the airport and for local people who are welcoming the opportunity to avoid the hassle of travelling to southern airports for holiday connections.
"We are sure Croatia will be another popular addition to the Autumn programme."
Transun’s Ivana Rizmal said the holiday would be a wonderful opportunity for Highland sun seekers and lovers of culture to sample a fascinating and still largely unspoilt country.
Transun has carried well over 120,000 holidaymakers there over the past 20 years and the company’s unique knowledge of the country has been used to create its 2002 brochure.
Croatia, with its 1,000 miles of coastline and over 1,000 islands is probably one of the last remaining Mediterranean gems still waiting to be fully discovered.
It still retains the immense charm of yesteryear while providing holidaymakers with modern facilities and is the ideal destination for discerning families, couples who love to relax or explore and for walkers and lovers of water sport.
Transun's dedicated charter flight from Inverness is direct to the historical and beautiful city of Dubrovnik which is famous the world over for its picturesque harbour and lovely old town. Dubrovnik is an excellent base from which to explore resorts such as Cavtat and Milini and the island of Korcula.
The Dubrovnik Riviera has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Mediterranean with strings of small villages nestling beside picturesque bays and a mild, dry, Autumn climate.
