Highlands and Islands Airports Limited today (Wednesday 15 January) welcomed the decision by Western Isles Licensing Board to approve an application for a Sunday drinks licence at Stornoway Airport.
The application was made following the start of scheduled air services from Stornoway in October 2002 in order to standardise the range of services and amenities available to airport users across seven day operations.
John Hay, regional manager west at Highlands and Islands Airports said: "As an airport operator we want to ensure that people travelling through Stornoway Airport have access to the same dining and refreshment facilities no matter which day they choose to travel. In a service industry this is certainly what people expect from us and what we will now be able to offer."
