Inverness Airport has recently played host to some of the most
talented young musicians and singers from Nairn Academy, Drakies Primary School
and Ardersier Primary School.
Each ensemble performed a variety of Christmas carols in their
own unique style within the terminal building to audiences comprising
passengers, staff and "meeters and greeters".
The terminal has been lavishly decorated by members of staff to
provide a friendly Christmas atmosphere during December. Staff at the terminal
designed and created the decorations, with the whole project being overseen by
Susie Vesty, information desk manager.
The reindeer, sleigh and Santa were made by Mark Clinton,
British Airways’ customer services agent for Inverness Airport. Susie and her
colleague Gillian worked together on the creation of the Christmas castle and
arranged the festive displays in the terminal concourse.
Sheena Mitchell, HIAL’s Inverness Airport terminal manager,
said: "The terminal has been beautifully decorated in a Christmas theme and
looked even more stunning when we had the carol singers performing. We are
constantly trying to provide passengers with a unique experience when they visit
the terminal."
