HIAL has announced the appointment of Grant Dudgeon as its new Manager of Infrastructure Services.
Mr Dudgeon takes on the role previously occupied by George McHollan, who retired from HIAL earlier this year.
Mr Dudgeon, 49, is a chartered civil engineer and was previously a technical director with Jacobs Babtie, one of the UK’s leading technical and management consultancy firms.
Originally from Dundee, Mr Dudgeon now lives in Inverness and spent the past 16 years with Jacobs Babtie. He studied for his degree in Civil Engineering at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and has worked extensively in the UK and overseas, including civil engineering projects in West Africa. His experience includes work on major construction and civil engineering projects for contractors, consultants and client organisations.
Commenting on his new post, Mr Dudgeon said: “I am looking forward to the new challenges and the diversity of work involved in maintaining and developing the infrastructure at HIAL’s 10 airports. I hope that my broad range of experience will prove valuable to the company and add value to its operations.”
Bob Macleod, Managing Director of HIAL, said: “Grant brings a wealth of experience with him that will be extremely valuable to us in the years ahead. The maintenance and upgrading of our facilities is a continuous process and I have no doubt that his extensive knowledge of the civil engineering industry will be put to good use for us.”
