Travellers at Inverness Airport will be enjoying some Christmas cheer today (13 December) when school pupils perform carols in the terminal building.
Pupils from Ardersier Primary School are performing in the terminal from 11am this morning. Pupils from Drakies Primary School will sing carols at the airport on Friday 17 December while Nairn Academy’s Samba Band will add to the festive atmosphere on 21 December.
Charity collections will be made during all three performances and members of staff at the airport terminal have also been involved in decorating the airport to ensure it has a friendly Christmas atmosphere.
Callum Smith, HIAL’s acting terminal manager at Inverness airport said: “The children, passengers and staff very much enjoy and look forward to what has become an annual event. The fact that the children are raising money for local charities is an added bonus.
“It is great for passengers and visitors who are flying throughout December to be able to experience the festivities and hopefully it puts them in the Christmas spirit.”
