easyJet Inverness to Bristol air link takes off
08 July 2005

More than 200 passengers travelled between Inverness and Bristol International Airport on the first day (Thursday 7 July) of easyJet’s newest route into the Highlands of Scotland.

The seven day service with one return flight a day is expected to be a major boost for tourism in the Highlands and open up opportunities for new business links between two important UK regions.

Seats are available from £17.99 and are on sale at the www.easyjet.com website.

The new flights follow close on the heels of easayJet’s Inverness to Belfast International flights which started operating last Friday. easyJet also operates daily services between the Highland’s hub airport and Gatwick and Luton airports in London.

Inverness Airport Manager, James Walton, said: “easyJet has doubled its capacity at Inverness over the past week with the introduction of its new services to Belfast and Bristol. This is good news for the Highland economy as it makes the region easily accessible by air from two new major markets.

“The routes also open up new destinations and a huge variety of onward air connections via Belfast and Bristol for people living in the Highlands and Moray.”
