Thomson will offer Highland holidaymakers an expanded programme of flights from Inverness Airport in 2008.
Thomson will introduce direct flights to Spain in June, July and August 2008, flying to the Costa Dorada south of Barcelona.
The holiday company will also continue to offer its popular programme of flights to Majorca in 2008, established over the past three years.
Thomson’s 2008 programme from Inverness is now on sale, offering a range of holiday and accommodation packages direct from Inverness. Flights to both Majorca and the Costa Dorada will depart weekly from Inverness from 28 June to 2 August 2008 with the final return flights coming back to Inverness on 9 August.
Inverness Airport manager James Walton said: “We are delighted that Thomson is expanding its operations from Inverness and offering holidaymakers more choice in destinations direct from their local airport in 2008.
“Thomson has been an established operator at Inverness since June 2004 and we have no doubt that their new flights to Spain will be a popular option during the school holidays in summer 2008.”
