Both Thomson’s and Newmarket’s 2009 holidays are now on sale and follow the recent confirmation of the airport’s programme of Jersey holiday flights for next year with Discover Jersey.
Inverness Airport manager James Walton said the advantage of departing from their local airport was a key selling point for holidaymakers from the region.
“The development of the airport’s charter market in recent years has definitely been aided by the attraction of flying to holiday destinations from the local airport,” said Mr Walton.
“Whether it’s young families or couples, the charter providers offer a good range of choice flying direct from Inverness and operated very successful programmes this year. We believe that the early booking now available for 2009 will be popular with people who do not want to travel considerable distances to other Scottish airports to start their holidays. Given that the majority of flights this year operated at 100% capacity early booking is in fact recommended.”
