Flybe Announces New Inverness Routes for 2008
26 November 2007

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, today launches its complete summer 2008 timetable with a total of 23 new routes and over seven million seats on sale. The summer schedule brings good news for Inverness passengers with four brand new routes on sale from the Scottish base to Birmingham, Exeter, Manchester and Southampton, so travellers are urged to book now to secure flights for their summer breaks next year.

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, comments: “These new routes represent a sustained commitment to our Inverness operation and a significant expansion to the services we can now offer to and from this key destination.”

Bookings for all routes can be made today at www.flybe.com.

The four new services are in addition to a further eight new routes from Flybe’s other Scottish bases. They are an indication of Flybe’s continued commitment to Scotland by providing travellers across the region with frequent, low-cost, reliable services from their doorstep to exciting destinations across the UK and Europe.

The new daily services will provide a vital and direct link to these key regions from northern Scotland for business and leisure travellers alike and come hot on the heels of the early release of summer flights to London Gatwick from the Inverness base announced back in September.

Mr Rutter adds: “The new routes from Inverness for summer next year show us continuing to offer choice to our Scottish passengers.

“The latest routes confirm our position as Europe’s largest regional carrier. We will continue to bring exceptional service and low-cost travel to the regions whilst promoting our positive environmental policy through our eco-labelling scheme and the ongoing deployment of our environmentally sensitive $3billion fleet across our network.”
