Once your flight to Amsterdam has arrived, you'll want to get into the city and see what the city has to offer. A train into Central Station is the fastest route into the city and is also the most convenient for going to your next destination.
Alternatively, taxis and airport shuttles are on hand to help you get into the city. The airport shuttles run to more than 100 hotels around Amsterdam, with tickets available for purchased from the main arrival plaza within the airport, while taxis are available outside the terminal.
Once you've arrived in the city, there are a number of methods of getting about Amsterdam. Driving isn't one of them, particularly within the canal ring, so cycling is often the most popular option.
Amsterdam also has a popular public transport system, provided by GVB, which includes the metro, bus and tram. This is a quick and efficient way of getting across the city or out to some of Amsterdam's attractions outside the centre.
