Instead of Paris, head to Harris on Loganair’s Hebridean Adventure from Inverness Airport. The shopping is tremendous – don’t forget to bring an empty suitcase for all your purchases, which will need to be checked in on your return journey if you treat yourself to a bottle of Harris gin.

Stornoway is the main town on the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The population is just over 6,000 which is around one third of the island’s population.
