Welcome to Kirkwall Airport – the gateway for the Orkney Islands
Kirkwall airport provides easy access to the Orkney Islands from Scotland’s major cities, Shetland and Norway. For business or leisure travellers – Kirkwall is the air transport hub for the islands.
Orkney is a destination offering a choice of over 70 islands that make up the archipelago. Kirkwall is the main town and is a great base for touring the islands or to just wander and take in the sites and eateries based around it. There are excellent air and ferry services between the islands, and you can also take the world’s shortest scheduled flight – lasting only two minutes – between the islands of Westray and Papa Westray.
