This unique and fun-filled event will take place on 25th August 2018 at midnight – participants can run or walk the 5km route, which will be lit up. The event is also wheelchair accessible and open to participants of all ages, with under 16s accompanied by an adult participant. Fancy dress is welcome and encouraged!
Following on from the success of last year, a fun pre-event warm up will be taken by Inverness’s very own Dan More from Elite Training.
Registration is now open and further details are available via the link – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/run-the-runway-2018-registration-42239689047?aff=ebdssbdestsearch
The target this year is 250 entries – and with over 50 registrations before the official launch, interest is high. Last year’s event raised a superb £29,000 for Maggie’s Highlands.
There will be a top prize for the highest fundraiser which is a pair of easyJet return flights anywhere on their network (from Inverness via London) plus an Inverness Airport VIP package. There will also be awards for other categories including Best Fancy Dress, Fastest Finisher (Adult & under 16 award) and more. Inverness Airport departure lounge will be transformed into a DJ area and a VIP raffle will also take place.
This is an amazing opportunity to have great fun while raising funds which will go to ensuring Maggie’s Highlands continues to be able to provide free, practical, social and emotional support to anyone affected by cancer.
