In line with Scottish Government guidance, those travelling to a Scottish Island are encouraged to take two rapid lateral flow tests prior to departure. You can order lateral flow testing kits to your home and are advised to take the first test three days before departure and the second on the day of departure.
This is a voluntary programme that will help minimise the risk of bringing Covid into island communities. Further information for getting tested in Scotland can be found on the Scottish Government website.
For UK domestic travel you can view the latest Scottish Government guidance for when a test is required.
The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and staff remains our upmost priority. It remains compulsory for anyone travelling through the terminal building to wear a face covering at all times. Although, from Monday 09 August, it is no longer a legal requirement to adhere to physical distancing, we are continuing to advise visitors to our airports to keep a safe distance from others wherever possible to minimise any risk to passengers, visitors and our staff.
We follow UK and Scottish Government guidance around developments on Coronavirus (COVID-19), and work with Transport Scotland and our aviation partners to ensure Stornoway Airport can continue its unique role.
Our airport managers will continue to implement the contingency arrangements in place to ensure Stornoway Airport continues to operate as required.
