Ensuring our passenger’s safety is our utmost priority - below is a list of important considerations to keep in mind when travelling to/from the airport from Monday 18 April 2022:
Will physical distancing still be required within the airport?
It will no longer be a legal requirement to adhere to physical distancing indoors, however we are continuing to advise visitors to the airport to keep a safe distance from others wherever possible to minimise any risk to passengers, visitors and our staff.
Do I need to wear a face covering within the terminal?
It will no longer be a legal requirement to wear a face covering in indoor spaces. Please be considerate of those that may choose to continue to wear a face covering.
If I require special assistance, will this still be available?
Yes, special assistance support is still available. This can be arranged prior to travel via the Loganair booking line – 03448 002 855. Alternatively, services can be requested at check-in.
Will the Sumburgh Airport café be open?
Café Volare in the departure lounge is open and available for travelling passengers. Vending machines are also available in the departure lounge and the Shetland Made shop in the main concourse has a small supply of juice and snacks.
Drinking water is available in the main terminal concourse and the departure lounge.
Are the toilet and washroom facilities open in the terminal building?
Yes – the toilets are available for use.
Will bus services operate from the airport?
The number 6 bus service is following its normal service. Timetables are displayed in the terminal building. Details can also be found on the ZetTrans website or via the mobile app.
Will taxis be available at the airport when I arrive?
Yes, the taxi rank is directly outside the main terminal door.
