Lapland from Inverness returns for 2026

A popular festive charter flight from Inverness Airport to Finnish Lapland is set to return on 19 December, following the success of two sold-out trips in 2025.

Operated by Murray Travel, the day-trip experience will once again give passengers the opportunity to travel direct from the Highlands to the heart of Lapland, with highlights including reindeer rides, husky experiences and a visit to Santa Claus in his world-famous home.

Dan Mason, Airport Manager at Inverness Airport, said: “We’re delighted to welcome back Murray Travel’s Lapland charter to Inverness Airport for December. Following its successful debut last year, this service has already proven very popular with families and groups looking to experience the magic of the season. It provides a simple and direct way for people from the Highlands and beyond to enjoy iconic festive highlights in Lapland. From meeting Santa to snow activities and the chance to see the Northern Lights, it offers a truly special break at a time of year that means so much to so many. I know how important creating these memories can be, and we’re proud to support this returning service from Inverness.”
