The first ever Run the Runway event at Stornoway Airport was held on Saturday 18 April.
A huge success, the event saw 380 people take on the 5km route around the runway, raising over £7,400 for the Lewis & Harris Macmillan Cancer Support Group. Participants ranged from babies in buggies to a runner in their eighties, with a mix of walkers, wheelchair users and runners. There was even a piper to lead the participants from the terminal to the start line.
Macmillan held a raffle on the day and the team at the airport were on hand to support throughout, including helping with parking, marshalling and tail walking.
Congratulations to all of the participants and everyone else who helped to make the event such a success.
