The Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Tourism & Transport, Stephen Flynn MSP, confirmed that flights between Inverness – Kirkwall, Sumburgh & Stornoway will recommence in October.
He announced that funding will be provided to Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd (HIAL) to support the reinstatement of full air services by the Scottish Government. The announcement came after commercial discussions between HIAL and Loganair to enable island communities to access these air links.
