Public Appointment Scotland have announced the reappointment of James McLaughlin as a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Highlands and Islands Airports Limited.
Mr McLaughlin’s reappointment is for two years and runs from 1 March 2020 until 28 February 2022.
Lorna Jack, Chair said: “James has been a key member of the HIAL Board, as well as a valued colleague. I am delighted that he will continue on the Board and support us in our drive to future-proof the essential service HIAL provides to our local communities.”
James McLaughlin previously held the role of HR Director for the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, which he joined in April 2008. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the construction, power generation and energy supply industries, including roles as Director of Learning for Scottish Power and International HR Director for PacifiCorp, based in the USA. Mr McLaughlin has operated at Board level, most recently as Chair of Energus and as a non-executive Director of Direct Rail Services. He also has significant experience as a pension scheme trustee. Mr McLaughlin is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and has an MBA.
