Pilots are requested to read the following information regarding the airport’s operational information.  Wick John O'Groats is operated on a PPR basis – you must complete a Prior Permission Required form to book in with Air Traffic Control at least three hours prior to arrival.

Self-Handling

Domestic flights with a MAUW of less than 3000 kg may self-handle.  The requirements associated with this can be found below.

If you intend to self-handle, please contact air traffic control for a PPR on 01955 602215.

Aircraft which are arriving from international destinations, including the Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland and any aircraft with a MAUW of 3000 kg or greater must book their arrival through our handling agent – Far North Aviation (contact details above).

If you are travelling from or to destinations within the Common Travel Area (Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) you must also notify the Northern Constabulary through completion of a General Aviation Report.  A minimum of 12 hours notice is required by law before you travel.

Prior to departing for Wick please remember to check the latest NOTAMs to ensure there are no notices in force which might affect your arrival.
