Islay is located just off the West Coast in Argyll and Bute and is home to some of the most famous whisky distilleries in the world.
Islay airport is situated in the centre of the island at Glenegedale near Machrie Bay which is approximately five miles from Port Ellen.
With nine working distilleries on the island, Islay is also known as the ‘Queen of the Hebrides’.
The airport operates daily flights to and from Glasgow, Colonsay and Oban.
