Parking
Short and long stay parking is available at Kirkwall Airport and is located a short walk from the terminal building. Parking is free for the first 2 hours and £3 per 24hours thereafter
Drop off for passengers
A free drop off period of up to 2 hours is available in the car park for anyone dropping off passengers for flights. Please use the car park if you wish to leave your vehicle to accompany passengers to the terminal.
Accessible & Blue Badge parking
Accessible parking bays and parking for Blue Badge holders are available in the car parks.
Blue Badge holders are exempt from parking charges at Kirkwall Airport when using the carpark to travel off the island. Please show your blue badge or a copy or photo of your blue badge to the information desk staff and they will provide a free exit ticket.
NHS Patient Travel
NHS Passengers are also exempt from car parking charges. Please present your NHS appointment booking letter to the information desk staff and they will provide a free exit ticket.
Inter-Island Passengers
Free parking is available to inter-island travellers from the north isles when using the inter-island flights. To use this facility, north isles residents need to complete the form at the top right of this web page and return it to the address provided at the top of the form or by email to kirkwalladmin@hial.co.uk. Forms must be submitted at least 5 working days ahead of travel and the scheme is limited to one car per household.
Electric Vehicle Charging
We have one Electric Vehicle Charing point located in the main carpark near the exit barrier.
Payment Information
There are two paystations at Kirkwall Airport one located at the enterance of the terminal building and one in the shelter, opposite the bus stop, in the car park. Both the paystations accept cash and card and payment must be made prior to exiting the car park.
