Manchester Airport is the UK’s Global Gateway for the North. From the airport travellers can find direct connections to over 210 destinations worldwide.

Manchester Airport is located at Junction 5 on the M56 and provides direct links to the M6 and the M60.

Train

Train services operate seven days a week with TransPennine Express and Northern Rail. The average journey time is approximately 20 minutes. Travellers can access regular trains to Manchester Piccadilly train station.

Bus

Bus and coach services run to and from Manchester Airport via The Station.  Situated at the end of the Skylink walkway, the bus station is next to the train station and Metrolink stop.

Trams

Direct trams run from the airport to Cornbrook, outside of the city centre. Change platforms to board an inbound tram to the city centre. Trams operate every 12-15 minutes.

For more information on tram timetables, visit the Metrolink website.  Tickets are available from machines on every platform of all stops, but not onboard. Please make sure you buy your ticket before you travel.

Taxi

Black cab taxis also operate from all airport terminals. Fares for any journey taken inside the Manchester Licensed Area will be shown on the taxi meter.  Black cabs do not need a booking and can carry up to six passengers. All cabs are wheelchair accessible.
