Minister visits Inverness Airport

Minster for Agriculture and Connectivity, Jim Fairlie MSP visited Inverness Airport yesterday to thank the team for their hard work and continuing service to customers.

As well as meeting staff at the terminal building, the Minister spent time in the security area to see some of the equipment introduced as part of the Next Generation Security measures introduced last year.

He was then given an update on Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) project completed earlier this year where state -of-the-art LED technology will reduce energy consumption by up to 80%.

This was followed by a tour of the Airport Fire Service and to meet members of the Fire and Air Traffic Services.
