HIAL airport teams across the Highlands and Islands are marking AirportsUK Health & Safety Week with a programme of activities.
These are designed to raise awareness and build understanding around the topic for everyone using the airports through interactive learning, practical exercises, and community engagement.
The annual event is focused around three key health and safety themes:
- Slips, Trips & Falls
- Ground Movements
- Reducing Stress
Teams across the airports are taking part in demonstrations, interactive online presentations, drop-in sessions and more. This week provides an opportunity to reinforce critical safety behaviours, regulatory compliance, and a well-being culture at our airports.
Darren MacLeod, Chief Operating Officer, said, “Health and Safety Week is a great opportunity for our teams to increase awareness around safety. We hope that the week will be a great opportunity for colleagues and partner organisations to get involved.”
