Inverness Airport to offer first ever direct flights to Gran Canaria with Murray Travel

Inverness Airport will launch its first ever direct flight service to Gran Canaria on 17 February 2026.

The exclusive five week programme, operated by Highland based Murray Travel, will give local travellers the chance to escape the winter chill with weekly flights to the sun soaked Canary Islands. Flights will depart from Inverness every Tuesday until 17 March 2026.

Graeme Bell, Inverness Airport General Manager, said: “The launch of the first ever direct route from Inverness to Gran Canaria is a great addition to our schedule, offering Highland travellers a new opportunity for some winter sun. It is a welcomed addition to the growing leisure flight options from Inverness Airport and we look forward to seeing passengers heading off to the Canary Islands.”

Holiday packages are available through Murray Travel. Travellers can book online at mtholidays.co.uk or through Murray Travel branches in Inverness, Nairn, Forres, and Elgin.
