First Minister visits Sumburgh Airport

First Minister John Swinney, MSP visited Sumburgh Airport yesterday to thank the team for their hard work and continuing service to customers.

As well as meeting members of the airport team, he was also taken on a short tour of the airport including the facilities for oil and gas passengers.  

The First Minister was greeted by Susan Mail, Sumburgh Airport Manager and introduced to David Millham, Airport Fire and Operations Manager and Paul Lawrence, Senior Air Traffic Control Officer who accompanied him on the airport tour.  

After meeting members of the security team, the Minister passed through to board his flight back to Edinburgh.
