Gillian Woolman - HIAL Non-Executive Director
Gillian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. Gillian commenced her career with Coopers & Lybrand in Edinburgh. On qualification she joined KPMG in Brussels and then Geneva.
On her return to the UK she was Chief Internal Auditor to a consortium of NHS bodies. After the establishment of the Scottish Parliament she joined Scotland's independent public sector audit agency, Audit Scotland, as an Audit Director. This role has taken her the length and breadth of Scotland, including the islands.
Gillian has sat on numerous UK-wide professional committees. She lives in Edinburgh.
Gillian is a non-remunerated trustee on the Board of the Royal High School Preservation Trust, a non-remunerated trustee on the Board of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a church treasurer.
