What to expect when taking hold baggage
Your hold baggage will be screened by X-ray, in line with UK regulatory requirements. Your baggage may also be searched by hand and swabbed for the detection of explosives by one of our highly trained security operatives.
If it is suspected that a prohibited or dangerous item is present, your baggage will be selected by the X-ray operator and the X-ray equipment to undergo a hand search.
If your bag is selected, your name will be called over loudspeaker and you should make yourself known to security.
